Forms & Policies
BCRWA is operating as an information and education resource for Border Collie owners having problems with thier dogs, as well as for people looking to provide a suitable home for a Border Collie. At the present time we are not able to accept dogs being relinquinshed by their owners. If you feel that you need to find a new home for your Border Collie, please contact us - your problem may be easily solved and we might be able to offer an aternative solution.
Border Collies are a breed that do not do very well in a kennel situation, most of them do far better if they can be re-homed straight from thier existing home rather than being put into a shelter or kennel. To assist with this, courtesy listings will be provided on this website for Border Collies needing new homes. Mixed breed rescue groups and shelters can also utilise this listing for Border Collies in their care.
Please copy and paste the following into the response box on the 'Contact Us' at the top of the page. To save time and ensure a prompt response to your enquiry, please provide all of the relevant information as possible that will help find the most suitable home for your Border Collie including:

We do not endorse giving dogs away "Free to Good Homes" as unfortunatley this can lead to unscrupulous people obtaining dogs for puppy mill breeding, dog fighting and other illegal and inhumane purposes. At the very least, please request a Donation to be made payable to a local dog rescue group such as the Animal Protection Society or K9 Rescue.
