Border Collies - Private Adoptions
We understand that sometimes circumstances and situations change, therefore we offer the Private Adoptions listings to assist owners needing to relinquish their Border Collie to find the most suitable new home for their dog.
To be listed on this page all dogs must be speyed/neutered and must be genuine rescues. Dogs For Sale are not accepted, however an 'adoption fee' to cover the cost of recent spey/neuter and vaccinations is acceptable if documented proof is available. A donation from the new owner to an animal shelter or rescue is strongly recommended.
Please note that dogs listed on this page have not been evaluated or assessed for temperament, health or any other problem by BCRWA. All information is provided by the owner of the dog and needs to be assessed by the prospective adoptee for validity.

Breed: Border Collie x Blue Heeler (looks pure Border Collie)
Sterlized, vaccinated and heartworm free.
Not Suitable with Young Children
Kaya desperately needs a new home, even a temporary foster home until his forever home can be found. Kaya is unfortunately showing herding/chasing/prey drive behviour towards the four year old child in the family and his owner is desperate to find him a loving home before he injures the child.
Kaya's owner rescued him from being euthanased two years ago and reports that he is usually very obedient and has excelled at agility, is good off lead, is a good watch dog, loves the beach, is okay with other dogs (although can be a little dominant), and would best be sutied to an active family with older teenagers (12+ years) or single active person.
Kaya is located in Kelmscott, Western Australia and HAS NOT been assessed by BCRWA.
